NEVER DARE I SAY

"Never Dare I Say" is a project where individuals are given the opportunity to anonymously share their deepest secrets. These intimate confessions are then transformed into unique brooches, each one a tangible representation of the emotions and experiences conveyed through the shared secrets.

The process of converting these private revelations into wearable art pieces serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it validates the feelings of the secret writers, acknowledging their experiences and giving them a physical form. Secondly, it encourages broader conversations about mental health and taboo topics, providing a platform for discussing issues that are often kept hidden.

This collection features 10 distinct brooches, each one crafted during the artist-in-residence program at Plattform Schmuckkunst in Graz, Austria. The residency took place in July 2024 and culminated in a solo exhibition.

Through "Never Dare I Say," the project not only highlights the significance of sharing and acknowledging personal secrets but also transforms these shared experiences into a catalyst for societal dialogue and understanding.
